Job Description: Utility Asset Maintenance Manager
Position Overview:
The Utility Asset Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and optimization of utility assets within the Energy and Utilities sector. This role requires a deep understanding of utility management practices and expertise in asset maintenance strategies. The Utility Asset Maintenance Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of utility assets to meet operational objectives and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive asset maintenance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure the effective management of utility assets.
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define asset maintenance objectives and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure maintenance effectiveness.
3. Lead a team of maintenance professionals to execute asset maintenance activities, including scheduling, inspection, repair, and replacement of utility assets.
4. Analyze asset performance data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and cost optimization.
5. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols related to utility asset maintenance.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and contractors to support maintenance activities and ensure cost-effective service delivery.
7. Monitor and control maintenance budgets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
8. Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess the condition of utility assets, identify potential risks, and implement preventive maintenance measures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field. A Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration is advantageous.
2. Proven experience in utility asset maintenance management, preferably within the Energy and Utilities industry.
3. Strong knowledge of utility operations, asset management principles, and maintenance methodologies.
4. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement asset maintenance programs and strategies.
5. Proficient in analyzing complex data sets and utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or enterprise asset management (EAM) software.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of maintenance professionals.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and regulatory bodies.
8. In-depth understanding of industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements for utility asset maintenance.
9. Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and cost optimization.
